India-based online grocery firm Zepto received [redacted] million last week from StepStone Group, Nexus Venture Partners, Goodwater Capital, Glade Brook Capital and Lachy Groom, among other investors.
The funding is part of the company’s recent $200 million round, which catapulted it into the unicorn club. Zepto became the first Indian startup this year to achieve the vaunted billion-dollar valuation.
The deal marks StepStone Group’s first direct investment in an Indian company. The private markets firm contributed [redacted] million to the round as the lead investor.
Singapore-based B2B cross-border payments provider Wallex secured $5.2 million last week from parent company M-DAQ. This is the first capital infusion by the fintech company in the former after acquiring it in February last year.
Wallex claims to offer a single platform to help businesses manage their foreign exchanges, cross-border payments and collection needs.
