Singapore-headquartered semiconductor company Silicon Box received $62.7 million last week from investors, including Intel Capital, Event Horizon Capital and vehicles owned by co-founders Sehat Sutardja and Weili Dai. The funding is part of the firm’s $200 million Series B round, which catapulted it into Southeast Asia’s unicorn club.

The semiconductor packaging and testing company was founded by Sutardja and Dai, the husband-wife duo who previously co-founded and led semiconductor company Marvell, and Han Byung Joon, the former CEO of STATS ChipPAC, which was acquired by JCET in 2015.

According to DealStreetAsia — DATA VANTAGE, [redacted] is the largest shareholder in Silicon Box.

Vietnamese edtech startup Clevai issued additional shares to venture investors FJ Labs and M Venture Partners last week.

UNOAsia, the incorporator of Philippine digital lender UNO Digital Bank, has allotted new shares worth $1.75 million to its founder Manish Bhai.

Singapore-based Chainstack, which offers a suite of services connecting developers with Web3 infrastructure, has issued new ordinary and preference shares worth [redacted] million to shareholders.

Philippine HR tech startup Sprout Solutions issued shares worth $850k to Wavemaker Partners, Kickstart Ventures and Patamar Capital last week.

Vickers Venture Partners-backed fintech company MatchMove reported a 3.5x jump in revenue for the financial year ended December 31, 2021. Its net loss went up by 10% during the period.

Meridian Innovation, a Singapore-based developer of low cost, mass producible thermal sensors, posted a 71% decline in revenue for the 12 months ended June 30, 2023, as it curbed its losses by over 22%.

The publisher of The Morning Context, an India-focused news platform, reported a 24% revenue growth for the financial year ended June 30, 2023. Its losses went up by 19% during the year.
