Singapore- and Silicon Valley-based biotech company Engine Biosciences received [redacted] million from Coronet Ventures, the venture unit of US-based healthcare player Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, last week.

The latest funding is part of the firm’s Series A-3 round. In July, Engine Biosciences had raised $18 million in the same round from investors, including Polaris Partners and EDBI.

Founded in 2015 by faculty members at MIT, Harvard, Mayo Clinic and the University of California, the company applies machine learning to genomics for drug discovery in order to reduce R&D costs for new medical therapy.

Indonesia-based capsule hotel startup Bobobox received [redacted] million this week from investors, including South Korea’s Kakao Investment, venture capital firms Horizons Ventures and Alpha JWC Ventures, and tech conglomerate Emtek.

The latest capital infusion is understood to be part of a new round.

Bobobox, which provides pods and cabins that it claims combine comfort and affordability, had last announced an $11.5 million Series A round co-led by Horizons Ventures and Alpha JWC in 2020.

Fintech startup MFast, which operates a financial services distribution network in Vietnam, received $6 million from Krungsri Finnovate, Headline Asia, Wavemaker Partners and other investors last week. The capital injection is part of a recently announced Series A round.

Singapore-based startup H3 Dynamics, which is focused on hydrogen-electric propulsion, has issued ordinary and preference shares worth [redacted] million to investors, including UK-based hedge fund manager Clareville Capital.

Indonesian aqua-tech startup DELOS received $5.75 million from Monk’s Hill Ventures last week.

Indonesia-based raw material procurement startup Bababos secured $2 million from East Ventures and Patamar Capital last week.

Indonesia-based cold chain fulfilment startup Fresh Factory has raised $150k more in its pre-Series A round. It had earlier secured $4.15 million in the round from investors, including SBI Ven Capital and East Ventures.

Online learning platform Nas Academy received a fresh capital injection last week.

Singapore-based loyalty management and customer engagement platform Perx Technologies has issued shares worth [redacted] million to various investors, including MGlobal Holdings and Auxano.

Home interiors and renovation company Livspace posted a 155% growth in revenue for the financial year ended March 31, 2022. It reduced its losses by 1.6% during the period.

Singapore-based payments firm 2C2P, which was acquired by Ant Group last year, reported a 10.3% revenue growth in the twelve months ended December 31, 2022. Its net loss surged by 29x during the period.

Singapore-based food and beverage company Chope’s revenue grew 29% in the financial year ended Dec 31, 2022. Its losses, meanwhile, jumped 67%.
