Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund ADQ has secured a [redacted]% stake in Indonesia’s aquaculture unicorn eFishery after investing $20 million in the latter’s Series D round earlier this week.
eFishery has now raised $128 million in its latest round.
UAE-based 42XFund, which is backed by Abu Dhabi wealth fund ADG, has been the biggest contributor to the Indonesian firm’s Series D round with a [redacted] million investment. ADG was set up by ADQ in 2021 to pursue investments in alternative assets and public equity.
According to eFishery’s regulatory filings, it could raise a lot more capital in the round, so stay tuned.
Lithium-ion battery recycling company NEU Battery Materials has raised $3.1 million in a new funding round led by Singapore’s deep tech investor SGInnovate.
Other investors in the round include sustainable mobility investor Shift4Good and ComfortDelGro Ventures, the corporate venture arm of Singapore-based transportation company ComfortDelGro.
The deep tech startup had earlier raised S$800k in seed funding from investors, including Momentum Venture Capital, the corporate venture arm of SMRT Corporation, and battery recycling and processing company Se-cure Waste Management.

Singapore-based Nutrition Technologies, which makes insect-based products for use in livestock and aquatic feed, received nearly [redacted] million from Bunge Ventures, the venture capital arm of US-based agribusiness firm Bunge, this week.
Vietnam-based healthcare services provider Nhi Dong 315 received another [redacted] million from investors this week. It raised $30 million from Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC in April.
Singapore-based Anchanto, a B2B firm offering SaaS products for e-commerce and logistics businesses, saw a 43% jump in revenue in 2022. Its net loss surged 66% during the period.
Indonesian payment solutions provider Moka, which was acquired by ride-hailing firm Gojek in 2020, reported a significant drop in losses to $6.6 million in 2021 from $48.4 million in the previous year.
Indonesian social commerce app Desty reported a net loss of [redacted] million for the financial year ended December 31, 2021.
According to its first financial report filed with Singapore’s Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority, Web3 game developer and publisher Planetarium Labs recorded $1.3 million in revenue and [redacted] million in net losses in 2022. The company has raised more than $30 million to date and was last valued at over $330 million.
