Singapore-based healthcare company Doctor Anywhere received $39.9 million from Square Peg Capital, Novo Holdings and [redacted] this week.
The funding is part of a recently announced $40.8 million extended Series C1 financing. Healthcare services provider [redacted] also participated in the latest round.
Square Peg contributed [redacted] million to the round, while Novo Holdings, the investment arm of the Denmark-based Novo Nordisk Foundation, invested [redacted] million, per the startup’s regulatory filings.
Doctor Anywhere had earlier raised $30.8 million in its Series C1 financing in December 2022. Its share price has not changed from that round.
The company has said it plans to use the recently raised capital to expand its secondary care services and build a vertically integrated digital healthcare ecosystem.
GrabInsure, the insurance arm of Grab, received a capital injection of $3.05 million from its parent company this week.
The company was launched as a joint venture between Grab and a subsidiary of China’s ZhongAn in 2019. The Chinese company transferred its shares in the insurer’s holding company to Grab in 2022 in return for ordinary shares in the Nasdaq-listed super app.
GrabInsure is available in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam. Its offerings include protections for rides and package deliveries, personal accident insurance, income protection insurance, critical illness insurance, vehicle insurance and travel insurance.
